HSBC Private Equity Middle East Limited (HPEME) structures and provides equity capital to businesses operating in the region.
Private Equity
Investments are made in companies with proven track records and sound management teams. HPEME pays particular attention to the following situations:
- Expansion capital for existing operations
- Spin-offs from business restructuring or from privatisation
- Investment in companies whose intention is to go public through an Initial Public Offering
- Management buyouts
Equity capital for HPEME's investments is provided principally by the HSBC Group itself.
In 2002 HPEME will be launching a client fund which will invest in parallel with HSBC in transactions.
The Private Equity team co-operates closely with HSBC Bank Middle East Ltd and its extensive network throughout the region.
A significant portion of its deal flow arises from this regional network.
