HSBCHSBC The world's local bank

Newsroom

Dear Customer,

In the last decade, banking has been transformed by technology. First the telephone, then the internet and now mobile and pad handsets have combined to make traditional branch banking less and less relevant. You no longer have to give up your time to come to us because technology allows you to take us wherever you happen to be going.

In light of these changes and after very careful consideration, HSBC is to close two branches in Jordan with effect from 6 November 2011, consolidating its business into a network of four branches. The announcement of the closure is part of a wider restructuring of the Bank’s operations in Jordan and is part of the ongoing global effort of the HSBC Group to improve operational efficiency and remove unnecessary cost from its business. The two branches to be closed are Sweifieh and Khalda.

We are committed to ensuring that the branch closures cause minimum disruption, but I would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience that the move may cause you.
Your accounts have already been transferred and you are free to use any of our remaining branch network at West Amman, Jabal al Hussein, Al Madina al Munawarah or Abdoun to service your banking needs. You can therefore choose the branch that is most convenient for you. Alternatively, you can access your accounts any time using our award winning Internet Banking service. If you would like more information about the many ways to access your accounts with HSBC or to register for our telephone and Internet Banking services, visit our website at www.hsbc.jo

Additionally, we are pleased to announce that our branches in West Amman and Jabal al Hussein will be undergoing major renovations in November 2011 to give them a brand new look and feel that will enhance your customer journey.

I very much hope that you will continue to enjoy the security, peace of mind and excellent customer service that comes from banking with HSBC.
